EA FC 25 Career Mode: Major Improvements for a Better Experience
Significant Updates to Career Mode
For the first time in a while, Career Mode in EA FC 25 is receiving substantial and meaningful updates rather than a few minor additions. Both Manager and Player Career Modes are getting attention, offering something exciting for fans of each mode.
Introduction of EA FC 25 Live Start Points
EA is introducing a new way to play Career Mode aligned with the real-life season. Throughout the 2024/25 season, Live Start Points will be updated weekly, reflecting current results, fixtures, and standings. Players can jump into the ongoing season at any point. For instance, if Celta Vigo tops La Liga in December, players can take control and aim for glory with updated real-life data. This feature is available for both Manager and Player Career modes, supporting various leagues and competitions like the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Serie A, and more. Live Start Points will be activated after the season starts.
Player Career Mode with Icons
EA is adding a fantasy element to Player Career Mode by introducing iconic players. From launch, Andrea Pirlo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Kelly Smith, and Thierry Henry will be available, with pre-orders of the Ultimate Edition granting access to Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, and David Beckham. This fun addition promises an exciting experience.

Women's Football in Career Mode
Women's players, introduced in Ultimate Team in EA FC 24, are now available in Career Mode. Players can control teams or individual players from leagues like the Women's Super League, NWSL, D1 Arkema, Liga F, and Frauen-Bundesliga, and compete in the Women's Champions League. The women's game will feature unique financial tasks, shorter contracts, tighter budgets, and a smaller player pool, offering a fresh Career Mode challenge.
Enhanced Tactics with FC IQ
FC IQ introduces major changes to tactics in EA FC 25, particularly benefiting Manager Career Mode. New Player Roles and Team Tactics allow for custom tactical setups or using real-life managers' tactics. Hiring coaches now significantly impacts performance. For example, Manchester City's tiki-taka style can be optimized by hiring coaches familiar with this tactic, improving player roles like Haaland's false nine position.
Revamped Youth Academy
Responding to community feedback, EA has greatly improved the youth scouting network, now offering over 90 new countries for scouting, totaling 160. Scouts can now search for up to four positions and three focus roles, enhancing the pool of young talents. The youth academy is now playable in Career Mode through the new Rush game mode, allowing 5v5 games in youth tournaments every two months. Players can play with their potential ratings, offering a glimpse of their future capabilities. Winning these tournaments accelerates player development. Additionally, young players' appearances have been made more accurate, avoiding unrealistic features like 15-year-olds with beards.
